NYVEX is designed around one rule: authorization belongs on the server. Every publish action, edit, upload, and deletion must be verified before data changes.

Provider-verified identity
Google ID tokens are cryptographically verified. Discord profiles are fetched directly from the Discord API.
Session lives on the server
The browser receives an opaque, HttpOnly cookie. Token hashes, CSRF secrets, and expiry live in the database.
The owner is an allow-list
The owner email is compared against a fixed, checked-in allow-list—not a field that anyone can edit.
Uploads are neutralized
Rasterized thumbnails, strict MIME checks, size limits, and no SVG execution or remote import.
